The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors has said that there are more people retiring from the construction industry than joining it.
This has led to a huge skills shortage in the industry.
Because there is a skills shortage, it means that those left in the industry who are skilled, will earn more money.
Who Is This Program For?
School and University graduates. Or anyone early on in their career. You do not need experience, just a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow.

How it works:
1. HIRE
We hire you as a Management Trainee.
2. GENERAL LEARNING PHASE
For year 1, you will work in various departments across the entire business. Gaining valuable experience and knowledge. During this time you'll find out what fields you enjoy and are skilled at.
3. SPECIALISED LEARNING PHASE
At the end of year 1, Carmelcrest will pay for you to undertake a 4 year degree-level qualification in your chosen field. You will work in this area of the business too to further hone your skills.
3. PROMOTION
Upon successful completion of your course and specialised learning phase at work, you will be considered an expert in your field and we will promote you to a senior member within the team.
In summary, you start from nothing, then within 5 years, you can be one of the top earners in the industry.
Available Professions
Bid Writer
Write compelling bid proposals and win multi-million pound contracts. Manage social media and marketing, be creative with document graphic design.
Quantity Surveyor
Blend project management with finance. Measuring works, tracking costs, producing cashflows and profitability reporting.
Contract Manager
Manage construction projects from start to finish. Be responsible for all elements of the works and learn how to understand construction contracts such as the JCT.
Buying & Procurement
Learn how to procure services and materials in the industry, negociate contracts and manage logistics.
