Carmelcrest were appointed by Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust to deliver a programme of solar panel installations across a number of hospital and clinic sites. The scheme formed part of the Trust’s wider commitment to reducing carbon emissions and improving the energy efficiency of its estate.
Works were carried out across multiple live healthcare environments, requiring careful coordination to minimise disruption to patients, staff, and visitors. Each site presented unique logistical challenges, from access restrictions through to integration with existing building services and roof structures.
Carmelcrest undertook all associated enabling works to prepare each site for installation, including fabric adjustments and service modifications where required. The solar arrays were installed with strict attention to safety, compliance, and quality standards, while maintaining clear communication with the Trust’s estates team to ensure clinical operations continued unaffected.
The installations provided the Trust with a sustainable, long-term energy solution that reduces operational costs and carbon footprint across its estate.
