Modern ward refurbishment for Cheshunt Dental Centre

Carmelcrest were appointed to deliver the refurbishment of a healthcare ward within Cheshunt Dental Centre. Located at the heart of the larger facility, the project transformed an outdated space into a modern, fully functional clinical environment, supporting both patients and practitioners with high-quality finishes and specialist equipment.

Challenges

The works were undertaken in a live, operational healthcare setting. This required careful planning to minimise disruption to ongoing services and ensure patient safety and staff continuity. The integration of structural, mechanical and electrical modifications within a confined environment added to the complexity.

Our Approach

Carmelcrest carried out structural fabric modifications, a full M&E fit out and a reconfiguration of the ward layout to suit modern dental practices. New floor, wall, and ceiling finishes were installed to clinical standards, providing a fresh and hygienic environment. Specialist FF&E, including dental equipment and chairs, was supplied and installed in coordination with the client and end users. Works were phased and managed closely with the centre’s team to ensure smooth delivery within the live environment.
